課程概述 |
1.本課程適合初級（一）以上程度的學習者，也就是至少學習完《實用視聽華語一》，能掌握450個以上中文詞彙量，或是在臺灣中文學習總時數達到160小時 (或在其他國家地區達320小時) 的學生，或已通過臺灣TOCFL華語文能力測驗入門級或HSK漢語水平考試第2級的學生。
2.本課程授課語言以中文為主，英文為輔。 |

課程目標 |
1.學生能學習處理日常生活事務，例如打電話邀請朋友參加活動，安排約會，計畫旅行，表達自己的意見等。
2.學生能讀寫基礎正體字，「聽、說」達到雖有語法錯誤但可以理解的標準。
3.能夠知道台灣各地的文化特色

課程要求 |
1. 每次上課都要簽到
Class attendance is mandatory. You must sign into every lesson to verify your attendance.
2. 準時上課，不要遲到早退。遲到二十分鐘，視同缺席。
Attend the class on time, don’t be late for class or leave earlier than
scheduled. The student is considered absent if he/she is 20 minutes late for
the class.
3. 缺課者，應於主動詢問前次的課程內容並完成作業。
Absence from a class is no excuse for not knowing the assignment and what has been discussed in that class. Ask your classmates or me what has been covered in the class.
4. 上課應說中文，不說其他語言。
Only “Chinese” in class.
5. 記得帶課本和講義。
Remember to bring the textbook and supplementary handouts.
6. 專心上課，並積極參與課堂討論。
Full attention is required. Active class participation is mandatory.
7. 請維持教室有良好的學習環境，任何干擾學習的事情都不被允許。課堂中禁止喝酒、吃東西（可以喝飲料）、抽菸、使用手機、傳簡訊和完成其他學科的作業。
Please keep the classroom a socially and culturally appropriate environment for learning. Objects of distraction are not tolerated. That means no alcohol, no food (drinks OK), no smoking, no cell phones, no texting, no working on homework or assignments for other classes.
8. 未經許可禁止使用手機及相關電子產品。
Use of cell phones & any electronic devices without permission is not allowed
9. 尊重老師及同學。如果上課中發生同學之間，或師生之間的爭執，或是上課時學生離題的情況，教師將視情況隨時打斷學生發言，以維護課程順利進行。
Be respectful of each other in classroom. Topics discussed in class should be related to the course. If students argue with classmates or the teacher in class, which is effect on the class going on smoothly, the teacher will end the topic anytime. Or, if students talk too much to stray into the topic isn't related to the course, the teacher also will interrupt them anytime.
10. 請準時交作業。遲交的作業不收，以0分計。
Hand in assignments on time. Late submission will not be accepted.
11. 禁止作弊及抄襲，違反者將提報學校紀律委員會。如果作弊，該項考試成績、作業以0分計算。
Cheating and plagiarism: Please do all the homework yourself. If the writing/content of your homework is not your writing, it is considered as cheating and will be reported to school disciplinary committee.
Cheating at any time is NOT allowed and will receive zero credit for tests and/or homework. This includes cheating on tests, copying others' homework or internet resources without proper paraphrasing.
12. 請遵守智慧財產權法及合理使用要求。
Copyright and fair use polices

13. 違反以上規定皆會影響學期成績。違反一次規定就扣平時表現成績一分。
You will lose one point of scores of Attendance and Performance each time for violation of class regulations. |

1. If you are late for class or leave earlier than scheduled over 20 minutes, the hour would be considered as absent. You will be deducted 0.25 points for per hour.
2. Please inform the instructor by email in advance, if you are unable to attend the class. You also need to take a leave on line.
3. Valid and documented excuse should be provided ahead of time or within one week (for sick leave).
4. You will be deducted 3 points for unexcused absence.
5. If students leave NTU before the term finished, the hours of absence also be calculated as rule 1.
6. Please note that too many late arrivals (and excused absences without valid and documented excuses) will also have negative impact on attendance and participation (and overall) grades. |

5. Students should not write homework or do other things that are not related to the course, such as chatting with classmates or sleeping during class hour. |

作業Homework |
25% |
1. This includes Chinese character writing, grammar practice and some other assignments, such as writing narrations.
2. Please turn in your homework ON TIME on the set date. Late submission will not be accepted or scored. Submit your work ahead of time if you may miss the class of those days.
3. Please write the homework on the A4 loose-leaf papers (and only A4 papers are accepted)
4. You will receive grades for each complete homework. Incomplete homework (miss more than I item), late homework or copy of classmates' homework will receive No Grades (for both people) |

小考Quizzes |
15% |
1. This includes Dictation and Review test
2. Dictation will be given at the beginning of the class for about 10-15 minutes. You will need to write characters, tones, and pinyin based on what you hear. No make-up quiz provided.
3. There are twice review tests on the set date. The test will be a written test (including listening comprehension) and it takes approximately 2 hours.
4. Students who are absent on the test day will receive 0 point. No make-up test will be given. |

期中考Midterm |

1. Midterm exam is composed of two parts-written (40%), and oral (60%).
2. No cell phone or books are allowed during any type of test.
3.Oral exam requires memorization of the dialogue content. Reading from the script on the oral exam is considered as cheating and will receive No grades.
4. Students who can’t take Midterm exam on the set date need to inform the instructor at least one week before and take a leave on line before the exam date. Then, students can make up the exam in 3 days.
5.If students unexcused absent or can not make up the exam in 3 days, they will receive Zero point on Midterm exam.  |

期末考Final |
10% |
1. Final exam is composed of two parts- written (30%), and oral (70%).
2. No cell phone or books are allowed during any type of test.
3.Oral exam requires memorization of the dialogue content. Reading from the script on the oral exam is considered as cheating and will receive No grades.
4. Students who can’t take Final exam on the set date need to inform the instructor at least two week before and take a leave on line before the exam date. Then, students can take the exam by the appointed date.
5.If students unexcused absent or can not make up the exam in 3 days, they will receive Zero point on Final exam.  |
